i don't even know, been thinking about in general how do i rank all of kanye's discography, but i'm kinda confused. it's definitely not his best work (i guess that's mbdtf), but i like it more and more with every listen. especially the updated version, the mastering is so much better. the gospel choir on father stretch my hands pt 1 is heavenly. the first half of the album is really uplifting and the second one goes darker and harder so i kinda like the dynamics. however i mostly enjoy the parts where kanye himself doesn't rap very much (with the exception of real friends. real friends is really good). what do you think?

it was definitely better than the only other time I saw them. and, you're right! i think the crowd had a lot to do with it. I take it, you managed to get in the pit area? I opted for deadcenter on the first rail (for a perfect view with no one in front of me). It was funny that so many people made it onstage, and security was kind of cool about it. well, before tossing them off, lol.

They aren't b-sides as much as they are rarities. They have these stories behind them, but I won't get into that now. All you need to know is that they were released when Pinkerton Deluxe came out and it was pure brilliance. You always seem to have a band to recommend, don't you? Thanks though, I'll be sure to take a listen.

If you heard "Getting Up and Leaving" or "Tragic Girl" by Weezer, then you would know why they have so many listens in my library. That and the fact that they have been my favorite band since 2001 or so. While I did mention that their recent stuff hasn't been too fantastic, it's kinda hard to hate 'em after that much time has passed.

silver jews is one of my favourite bands. every february/march i listen to "people" on repeat, because this song gives me the best early spring vibes. makes me feel really glad that i've survived another dark winter. and those lyrics. man those lyrics. they basically say everything there was ever needed to be said. i also really like this poem by david berman http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/self-portrait-at-28/
