Yeah, I agree you can't go on making the same music forever, but what I love about the old modest mouse is their creation of these wonderful soundscapes, and musical environments through their songs, I feel that in their new album that has been lost to go for more normal songs... although Parting of the Sensory is a fucking amazing song...

Well man, you already listen to pretty much everything that I love to death...!!! But still, a few good names: Ed Harcourt, Ben Harper, Millionaire, dEUS, Ef, Tool, Sia, Zero 7, Patrick Wolf (!), Regina Spektor...and you need to listen MORE Radiohead and A Perfect Circle! Oh and DEF check 'Neon Ballroom' by Silverchair, that album still kills me!

I agree, I grew to really like it. At first I felt dissappointment because it wasn't what I hoped it would be, but it was its own thing and once I came to terms with that it was great, yeah.

Check out Maybeshewill, and Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies. They're both a bit glitchy I guess. Redjetson and iLiKETRAiNS are both kind of post-rock with vocals feel, neat bands. Minus Story and Tokyo Police Club are both solid indie bands.

A couple recommendations: -Sunset Rubdown: A more expirmental Wolf Parade, also fronted by the same guy. -Cold War Kids: One of my favorite finds of the year so far.

HORSE the mother fuckin' band. Couldn't agree more.

Rap. Specifically, alternative rap (rap with rock elements). You'll like them, I know it.
