Kinda late on this but I love the whole Helplessness Blues album from start to finish & thanks for the Primavera Sound video it was excellent man!

I tended to go in and out of loving each Frusciante album at one point. One would trump over the others'. I think The Empyrean is completely beautiful. Its layers and textures are amazing. I believe that would be my favorite just because it is a new experience every time I listen to it. "Curtains" is an amazing acoustic album. It is highly underrated. It's a good one to just sit down during an afternoon and listen to. I love "Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt" and "Smile From the Streets You Hold", but those are ones that I would not recommend to people. "Shadows Collide With People" would probably be my third favorite just because it jumps styles a lot. There is a lot of electronic influences on it. His guitar work is mastery on most of his albums. His collaborative album with Josh Klinghoffer took a few listens, but it grew on me, and now I love it. The two Ataxia albums that came out are absolutely amazing. They are such awesome jam albums. need to come back :(

TV on the Radio's new album was alright. It was a little too straight-laced compared to my favorite of theirs, Return to Cookie Mountain. Still a good album, though.

it was Feels for the longest time. But MPP blew that out of the water for me. I reached a point of listening to it where I saw it as the perfect album and think of it as the greatest album ever made (out of all the ones I've heard at least). There was a point a few months after it came out where, in my mind, AC felt more relevant than the Beatles. I pretty much still feel that way about them/the album. What about you?

I loved the new Fleet Foxes. So much more going on with their sound now which is great. I still love their first as well but this new one is great. I actually just saw them a month ago and they were fantastic. I'm guessing you are enjoying HB?

Ooh, I heard that one in the May 20th show, great stuff, can't wait to hear a studio version. I'm very excited to find he's continued with his evolution in sound, I'm looking for another "The Dreamer" or similar originality in his next release. He's the man to watch in contemporary folk music if you ask me. Must be a strange experience hearing "The King of Spain" actually in Barcelona :-). What a crowdpleaser that must be hehe. He also did a version of The Dreamer with bass guitar and percussion on the aforementioned show that I just adored. As usual, a great quality youtube recording is hard/impossible to find but what are you gonna do....

They both seem to represent two totally different stages of Justin Vernon's music. So far though, I'm loving the new one. Exactly what I was hoping it would be! Even though For Emma is my all time favorite record, I love the new direction and new style. What do you think?

No, I don't. I'm just a little bit interested in art, especially in surrealism, dadaism and actionism. The viennese actionism is very impressive, and things like 'Uni Ferkelei'are quite interesting and subversiv, but I don't like 'em, because they are partly really harsh and disgusting (e.g.self-mutilation). However, Brus, Nitsch, Roth and all the other guys were pure genius. Relating to Isis, I can't decide between 'Oceanic' and 'Panopticon'. 'In the Absence of Truth' is impressive, too. So really, I can't decide. :D What's your's?

Well, if you ask me for an album, I would say I like "The Downward Spiral" best. But that "Broken" EP really kicks ass. I love them both equally =). I honestly never have listened to a Bob Dylan record before. Which one do you recommend? There are so many!

Well, actually we really want to flesh this "cover" thing out, you could say people've always only considered the lyrics to be a necessary requirement, I just really love when a cover keeps the original chords but just slows it down or uses different instruments to play the chords. I'm also really fond of the "Cold Irons Bound" one by the way, a very sinister take if you ask me. Oh and Yo La Tengo's Fourth Time Around is divine but they're not everyone's cup of tea so I won't be offended if you disagree ;).
