Hey SOC, I'm doing a "causal report" for my tech writing class on why tracking isn't as popular as it was in the 90s. Most of the reasons are pretty obvious (more powerful comps, demise of DOS, more advanced composing software), but since you're the only person I know who actually has experience composing modules, I was wondering if I could "interview" you briefly -- especially regarding Renoise, ModPlug, and other modern trackers and why people would or would not use those programs over other sound editing software. You could probably just reply back with an explanation through last.fm but I'd prefer e-mail or something. tia
