Too true, nostalgia is a bit of a bugbear in general. I was pleasantly surprised by Beady Eye, the quality is fairly high but their just something magical, or some kind of spark missing ... I hope they stick at it though and release some more stuff more regularly than the latter day Oasis output ...

I like the way you connected the dots between The Fire Pit and Acid Jazz ... all good stuff over there from Mr. Piller and Gilles Peterson if you're talking about the record company, but Acid Jazz in general, if you mean the genre, I do like ... must listen to more of that funky stuff ... Oasis are famous in Mexico, but not have the same fans that U2 or Radiohead, I would say one in ten listen Oasis, in fact I met them by accident when I saw Hindu Times in Argentine video channel, in there country they are massive. I like OCS, if they came to Mexico I would go to his concert, you´re lucky ... are you listened already to the beady eye´s album ? what you think?

Hello my friend, hopefully all good thanks...my first contact with British music was oasis, and when I heard Noel Gallagher say he was a fan of a band called the Beatles, I started to go deeper and deeper into this wonderful music, little by little, but it was thanks to Noel, what discovererd the smiths, the jam, the Stone Roses and many others. sorry for my horrible English, I hope to understand at least half of what I say.

I've only heard a couple of songs, plus a couple live, but it sounds like it's shaping up to be almost as good as anything they've ever done, which would be very high praise considering their back catalogue! It's out on May 31st I think, but the Baby Lee vinyl (I notice you like) only single is out next Monday.
