i will most cetainly give it a listen! hahaaaaa, i'm sure llewwissbblloss will be very pleased that 2 people agree with him. i only really know the first half of the album, but Satellite of Love has the best ending to a song i have ever heard. david bowie's little guest vocal spot on that song just steals it!

Of course I know Emiliana Torrini and Múm ;) Saw Emiliana a couple of months ago, she's amazing. Amiina too, shame they don't tour with Sigur Rós anymore, when I saw them in November they were with For A Minor Reflection. I'd like to recommend you some music but I feel a little intimidated now! It is a matter of distribution. Out of the numerous music stores in Montreal, maybe 2 or 3 actually carry anything of Syd's. Even then, it's usually the compilation Wouldn't You miss Me? What's important is that those who do indeed respect his material recognize the genius behind it.

I've spoken to many Floyd fans about Syd's solo material and they responded with a shrug of their shoulders. It's truly a tragedy that he isn't given the proper respect as a member of Floyd but equally as a solo artist.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The Madcap Laughs is amongst my favourite albums.

You're completely right. Syd's solo material is far greater than anything on The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. It's beautiful in it's simplicity and sincerity. A true genius!

well i haven't seen too many icelandic films. but i seen some dagur kari movies which were the best movies i have ever seen... but i will watch more of them when i arrive Iceland... And I am from Tyrklandi :p :)

no not yet.. but i am going to study in Iceland... in cinema school.. and i love icelandic scene.. and i want to become a proffesional in Icelandic cinema scene...

oh come on man! not underrated people.. i know that most of Icelanders are peacefull and nice persons just like you :) so that is the biggest thing to be proud of!

i'd say she's worth cecking out. she's from the 60's and she was heralded as "the female bob dylan". whether thats true or not, i don't know. but she does have a very good voice and the songs are prettty sweet. iff you're going to listen to any though, make it diamond day.
