The Barber just on thisd particular live track that last.fm periodically throws up for me. Another version has Jeff Healey (who is blind) on guitar. Try 'wasted sunsets' another excellent choice. Don't know the MsKewan stroy - told you i was a simple man : )

Hmmmm. Does not seem to be working for some reason but i guess that he is picking with a drill or a mixer or something? How did your Godfather theme go? There are plenty of piano tutorials on youtube too. Hardest thing to me is remembering stuff: note names and key signatures etc etc. In the future we will just be able to download any skill directly into our brains. Maybe. But then where will the sense of satisfaction be eh?

Annndd last but by all means most is House of Leaves by Mark Danielowski which is just a joy to me. He experiments with typography to echo the story so some pages may be back to front or have a single word or be in braille! or have holes in etc. And pages are covered on footnotes and annotations some with real references and some made up. And there are codes and clues and all sorts. I think that you might enjoy it, especially The Whalestoe Letters which are available separately as well as being in the book. Enough of my ramblings, hope you having fun : )

Thanks for the tunes. I like em! 700 million years old eh? I actually went up Bredon Hill instead in the end. A favourite of mine and found a slow worm soaking up the sun. Books i like are your classic King, Stephen Donaldson's Chronicles of Thomas Covenant series - read and reread many times; Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime, Mark Haddon; Raw Shark (see what he did there?) Texts is a very clever and intriguing and impossible to explain story. Just reread it and they are maiking a film based on it apparently.

According to the aforementioned Barker in his wonderfully imaginative novel Weaveworld, Eden was actually discovered in the Rub al Khali, or Empty Quarter, of the Sahara Desert. Guarding it was the 'archangel' Uriel, scourge of God who had been driven insane by loneliness and thoughts of revenge. So there. : ) But i think i may conduct my own search for it later on the snowy wastes of the Malvern hills. "I am just going outside and may be sometime".

Hmmmm, this hangover is more serious than i thought. I am sure that i just wrote you a note but where is it??? It said something about you having invented your own language and me liking it although takes me a few reads to cotton on. Maybe i dreamed it. Or perhaps it just hasn't registered on the page yet or perhaaapppsss i have a doppelganger who is out and about living my life and sending out shouts leaving me with hazy rememberings. Reminds me of a Clive Barker tale i once read. Occam's razor - which one is the most likely explanation?

Ahhhhh you mean that rule hehe. Very clever. See i got there eventually. I replied to your earlier post ON MY OWN PROFILE! Voices in my head? Damned scrobbler not working properly cos just been listening to 'Mumford and Sons' for last hour but it doesn't retain the info. Grrrrrrrrrrr

That entire 'no more shall we part' album is just beautuiful i think. But when i first got it i did not care for it at all....rule is: the longer it takes to get into something then the longer you will enjoy it. My rule anyway! Looks like I am under 15ft of pure white snow here for real. Avenge my death. Aint seen Nyman but like to amuse myself by trying to learn both of those pieces on piano. So, with your guitar, think of a piece that you would like to play and then look online for the music or tablature. Perhaps Bert Weedon's play in a Day guitar method may help you? ; ) Ps I sent you a friend invite so you better take it before i change my mind!

Played it. I like it and in the list of similar tracks is nic cave's 15ft of pure white snow! Noticing that a lot of thbe songs that i play are not being scrobbled grrrrr. Last night i had cohen and jeff buckley on but they are not on the list. Censorship by the machines i think. The Matrix is real : 0

Greetings, which one was the laurie anderson lyric? I did not get it, was just pure coincidence i liked oh superman. Spooky. As for Puff, i just like that song like an old fairy tale. As for guitar, not learning but a loooong time player. Rock mainly - in fact just taken delivery of a great lil practice amp off ebay! As for Jonny, i think that Johnny was taken and he is Johnny Alpha not Johnathan Alpha so.....i shall listen to your song when i return form work. Farewell

And ohhh the rain falls downnn againnn on the workss of last year's man. Or something like that. As for the other: Bowie according to google. Yes i cheated :( Better than his usual random nonsense tho " see the mice in their million hordes from Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads, rule britannia is out of bounds to my mother, my dog and clowns !!!!! Saaaayyyy what??? : ) Great story about him was him and Iman popped into a spar shop in cornwall and jumped the line. Old lady behind counter said " u got to wait your turn". "But i am David Bowie" he replied. "I don't care whose boy you are...." said the old sort and the happy couple left the shop red faced. Ha ahaha. Probably not true at all but it really should be don't you think?

Failure eh tut tut tut. It was Nick Cave from his masterpiece "no more shall we part" album. I am still pondering your lyrical challenge. Meanwhile, try this one for size. In fact several by the same fella. More up your alley i feel: "The boys all say you look so fine but don't come back for a second time." "I kissed my love goodbye, she never blinked an eye. Strapped her to the bed 70 volts through her head." Damn, i see you have recently listened to some of this recently. Curses, foiled again!

I deny it!!! I have a tag which says 'bert weedonesque' which was probably my attempt at humour over a Vai track or something. Sooo, you have his chair eh. I expect that it has magical properties like the grail or paul daniels

Eh???!! Who says i like Bert Weedon? Although he is a master rock dispenser on a par with Satch and Vai, I find his brand of satanic deathcore a little, shall we say, gruelling. If u leave the last.fm radio on then you get all kinds of stuff on your profile that you may never have heard of. Or, indeed, rather cut off your ears than hear again. Perhaps that is what really happened with Van Gogh. Gaugin was framed!

I do like heavy metal, 'tis true! Helps me to see in the dark. I see that my fiendish lyric chalenge was just not fiendish at all :( so here is a new, improved with added vitamins one to reduce you to a slavering wreck: "We have a pretty little square, we have a woman for a mayor, our policies are firm but fair." Ps i love the smell of pianos int he morning

What price your head? Hmmmm perhaps i shall tell you when i've seen it. The incredibles the film do you mean? Incredibly, i have not seen it. Hangs head in shame. 'Girls you've got to know when it's time to turn the page, when you're only wet because of the rain.' Name that tune?

Am i a comic character?? How dare you! : ) Ok, I was real in my imagination when i used to read of the incredible adventures of Johnny Alpha, the Strontium Dog bounty hunter of 2000ad fame back in the 80's. I think i saw you on a wanted poster.......
