Try listening to Blur or Pulp if you want to experience the absolute pinnacle of modern pop.

Just listened to some modern ERRA... wow... Why is modern metal SO TRASH. Had to cleanse my ears with 'Impulse' after hearing that dogwater.

Looks like Spotify changed something with their API. 🫤 If you use the Spotify scrobbler, disconnecting and reconnecting your account should fix it. Official recommendation from last.fm.

Seeing their best record 'Impulse' so low in your charts was dissappointing. You should really listen to it more. It's amazing.

I get the impression that you're probably already familiar with these bands, but I didn't see them in your charts: Scale the Summit, Caligula's Horse, Leprous, Russian Circles. They're on the prog metal side of things, and the vocals are either clean or it's completely instrumental, so these might be good options since you enjoy bands like Animals as Leaders, Cynic and The Helix Nebula. Hopefully you like any of those suggestions - good luck in the marathon of discovering good music.
