Yeah exactly, trying to be someone your not to make a group of people accept you is just dumb. If you want to be accepted be who you are, don't be someone who you think they would like. Because down the road they'll know who you are and it iwll be back to square one where you have no where to really go.

Yeah I get you 100% and i'm actually from new jersey but I do go to loads of NYC shows since there isn't many venues in new jersey. But I think sometimes conforming and non conforming are both bad. It just gives you this level of self validation thinking i'm cool for being like those kids or i'm cool for not being like those people. So to me just be yourself wether you conform to the expected "social status"
