Yeah thats really cool. Which though? Madlib of MF DOOM?

Woah. You play Contra and Electric Bass. So cool. And you use soulseek. D: Cool to see another orchestra person. I play Viola.

regarding your sideshow thing, you can check my profile now and see I am indeed a sideshow member, so why is your artist tag show@distortedview.com when mine is distorted view? its strange

cool! well, i want to mainly play some jazz and psychobilly. i LOVE the fretless tone.

Indeed. " Your musical compatibility with Basstheist is Very High Music you have in common includes Converge, Cannibal Corpse, Repulsion, Django Reinhardt and Charles Mingus." Not a mix you see too often :D

fantastic taste in music. Insect Warfare for the muthafuckain win

Hi Douglas, i adore listening Oscar Peterson, he is one of my very preferred pianists. On some themes he seems to sing along in his particular way, much more discreet than ??? Do you know whom I'm thinking of?? Regards, Fredy

yeah, El-P ... I'll Sleep When You're Dead is pretty good I think. Eno has two albums called Music for Films and More Music for Films, they're nice ... but I prefer his ambient series + the Apollo stuff (and the things he did with Fripp). anyway, the guy in my av is Dan Faraday, a weirdo character from LOST

yeah haha word.

hells yeah mane insect warfare is the shit! not my favorite but its def up there

Eno? Eno's is the man when it comes to really good ambient music ... not just random synthesizersounds, but beautiful athmospheres and unique moods. you should try and play some of his ambient series (1: Music for Airports, 2: Plateaux of Mirror, 4: On Land) ... it's not actually music to listen to, it's more like ... well ... it adds to a rooms athmosphere. is actual song-driven albums are more like early DEVO, late Zappa, some Residents and a lot of funny pop-references. get Music for Airports, it's great bedtime music

ya oh well. i like them

well, carnifex is a good band. who cares what kinds of music ppl call it.

I dabble. I went through a long "free jazz" phase. These days I'll listen to Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis. Also I liked that project Madlib did called Yesterday's New Quintet... it was jazz-y. I saw Wynton Marsalis like a year or two ago actually. Blew my mind.

Nice taste.

What's good. Love ur taste. What's a contrabass?

greetings from Poland :]

....and welcome to the [group]Contrabass[/group] Group! Just me and thee at the moment!

Hey there Douglas - well the Double Bass in an awesome instrument to have chosen. Stick at it... it's well worth the time and effort! Russ

:-)

Hey there. A great mix of styles you got there! Do you play double bass? You might like my music:- [artist]Russ Sargeant[/artist]

You have quite a great taste, sir.

yeah....

I think a much better way than recommendations would be just listening my library's or loved track's radio. Skip the ones you dislike, see if anything interesting pops up and write down the artists or something. Sorry, I'm horrible at recommending anything... it's hard to predict the exact taste!

Hi fellow Zappaist, Jacoist and atheist. You heard of a guy called Mitsuru Sutoh? Awesome funky bass, check him out.

thanks, had a lot of work to do but I'm doing fine. how are you? hey, john coltrane climbed up your charts.. ;)

what?
