no the show at the soda bar wasn't their last show.. i missed that one cos it was sold out :/ their last show was at the ruby room in hillcrest.. that was when they got back from their tour with the yeah yeah yeahs if i remember correctly. and yeah i missed the black keys last time too. so lame!! i'm gonna make sure not to miss them next time

yeah tell me about it!! I'm still pretty pissed about it too! I was lucky enough to see them several times and I actually caught their last show. They played their new stuff and it totally blew me away! It's sooo unbelievably good and innovative. I'm so bummed that their last album never got released.. it's kind of depressing but oh well. Are you from San Diego too? The Black Keys are playing tonight.. I'm super bummed I'm missing it

ya i get what you're saying. if you really want something you'll take it however. that show sounds cool, is there anyone opening for them? you'll have to let me know how the show was.

i like to support artists by seeing them live over buying cds. since when you see them live your putting your money solely into the band as into the record companies that manipulate the music industry. and itunes is just too commercial they shove certain artists on the public, not based on talent but solely because of profit to be made. that's what i believe anyways. rather than the 2-3 dollars an artist may get per cd i'll spend 30 on seeing them live.

yeah, i was at that same show. amazing night... GOP is really cool live i'd love to check out their studio stuff but i refuse to purchase media from itunes. maybe once they get a little bigger it'll be on torrent sites. you have an interesting taste in music. i think you might like God is an Astronaut if you ever get a chance to check them out. have a good one man
