This is totally disrespectful towards the bands. Who cares what you think. I don't like you either but I'm not going to label you. I'm sure you don't have your own band if you do this things. Get a life!

Only attention whores and people with unaware self-importance would use this tag. Who cares what you like and what you don't, eh?

I find it ironic that this is how I find new music I like :b Thanks stupid taggers.

ElimFox: Please explain how exactly using this tag constitutes "constructive criticism" for artists getting this tag; I'm seriously curious. I don't see how it tells the artists anything useful, so I think it's not constructive in the least. It just tells them that somewhere, some single person did not like their music for unspecified reasons, which arguably applies to every single artist in the world and is therefore indeed pointless. I do not feel personally hurt when I see people use this tag exactly *because* it is just such a retarded idea that I cannot take this tag seriously, nor the people who use it. If anything, it puts the people giving it into an unfavourable light, rather than the artists receiving it. If you don't like something, go to a shoutbox and say it (and try to come up with a REASON at least, ffs), rather than using ridiculous tags.

I find it ironic that tagging music you don't like shoves that artist into your library [4]

There is nothing hurtful about this tag. It's called “music i tried but didnt like,” that's not demeaning or disrespectful, this tag is not making fun of any body, even if it were, do you think the recording artists give a shit? I highly doubt they care the slightest what a minority of people on last.fm think about there music, would you? Take this tag as feedback or constructive criticism for the bands that get this tag, & stop your bitching, there's enough bitching on the internet as it is, please don't complain about every little thing that you don't approve of, it's fucking annoying.

This applies to every band in the world because it is an opinion. "Rock" is an appropriate tag, not this.

Not every tag is for the community. Sometimes it's useful for one to organize their own libraries. I never delete an artist from my library, but it's also hard for me to keep track of which artists I only listened to once because I just haven't gotten to exploring it yet, and which ones I only listened to once because I really didn't care for the music.
