"This Routine is Hell is no longer our name.
We have decided to change our bandname to “Swain". You know… sometimes things just don’t feel quite right anymore. You don’t like that shirt you’ve been wearing all these years, you don’t really play that one favorite record anymore, and you decide to leave your hometown because you got tired of where you are. It’s O.K. Changing who you are and what you identify yourself with is part of growing up.
The last years have been hectic and we’ve changed in many ways. As individuals, as a band, in what we stand for and in the music that we make. “This Routine is Hell” is the shirt we don’t fit anymore; the old house that we grew up in; the friend that became a stranger.
So I guess, in spirit with “Nostalgia Burns”, it’s time for us to let go of what we’re familiar with. From now on, we are “Swain”.
A third pressing of ‘Howl’ under our new band name will be out shortly. Info about our new EP will come soon as well.
