Brian Blade (* 25. Juli 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana) ist ein US-amerikanischer Jazzschlagzeuger und Komponist.
Der Sohn von Dorothy und Pastor Brady Blade Sr. (Pastor in der Zion Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana), und der Bruder von Brady Blade Jr (ebenfalls Schlagzeuger), machte zuerst bei Musikern wie Joshua Redman oder Brad Mehldau auf sich aufmerksam. Seither hat er seine versierten Fähigkeiten bei vielen unterschiedlichen Künstlern unter Beweis gestellt. Neben seinem eigenen Projekt Fellowship war er zu hören im Quartett von Wayne Shorter, in Joshua Redmans Elastic Band und in Directions in Music (ein Projekt um die Musik von Miles Davis und John Coltrane (gemeinsam mit Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove). Weiterhin trat er mit Bill Frisell, Norah Jones, Wayne Shorter, Daniel Lanois, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris oder Kenny Garrett auf.
