Extremely impressive stuff! I gave 'em a good listen recently and they're better than when I first started listening to them.

@MrTLDurden: The debut album is "Excursion demise", not "Excursion concealed". And, I agree with you, It's a technical masterpiece.

I have not heard the debut album, but weave the apocalypse is pretty enjoyable and I absolutely adore Dying to live and Through the flesh to the soul. Great stuff

"So, am I the only one who thinks Weave the Apocalypse is vastly superior to Excursion Demise?" Nope, I like Excursion Demise but the solos are garbage and the songs sometimes a bit overlong. Weave the Apocalypse's "problem" is the opposite, with so many awesome riffs packed into such short songs.

I think their best album is "Through the flesh to the soul". However, each album has a different feeling and, of course, are great.

Excursion Demise is certainly their best effort to my ears but the others are pretty cool too

I'm with HamburgerBoy, Weave the Apocalypse is groovy and it's supposed to be. I don't know how that would be a bad thing in this case as these guys do it really good. Taking Slaughter in the Vatican as the pioneer of groovy thrash, if you don't like that, you're simply not a fan of brutal thrash.

Weave the Apocalypse is groovy, but so is Slaughter in the Vatican. There is nothing inherently wrong with mid-tempo thrash, especially when it's quite brutal and technical.

Weave the Apocalypse has to be one of the goofiest albums ever. Half the time it's great death/thrash, but then they try doing some weird experimental groove stuff that I still haven't decided if I like or not. Also, hearing some Danish guy attempt a Ron Rineheart impression is absolutely hilarious.
