Chiller Twist started as a recording project in 1998 to work only with an Atari and some basic sound modules Sl! M experimented with many different dance styles, some of these early experiments can still be downloaded as free mp3s from the many MP3 sites on the net
The Plum Project label formed with his partner late 1998 early promoted and sold Chiller Twist music exclusively on Internet giving away special mp3 mixes of tracks for sale on CD it proved successful as a way to build a network of interested parties, this was a fair way to introduce Chiller Twist music for anyone who was interested in and one way to allow fans to show their appreciation offsetSl era! m to produce more music full-time

Plum Project released two 12" Chiller Twist singles via Unique Distribution in 1999 "Banshee" (with Jon Dentist remix) sold out its first two pressings and played at many UK clubs like Peach and GATECRASHER "time bomb" (Skynet UK T-minus 658 remix) followed along the same road, and with the support of Pete Tong on his very influential essential selection show on BBC Radio 1
