Andre Sobota is a Brazilian producer gaining an enormous amount of respect amongst the International dance community as well as at home. Representing the second wave of producers from South America making electronic music, he has already released about 60 productions in the international market, many of them in collaboration with fantastic national and international artists. His latest project, focusing on techno and progressive house, made its debut with a remix of the track Triads by another two well known Brazilians, Anderson Noise and Gui Boratto, and was followed closely but his own productions Black Pearl and Self Constructive. Championed by the British label Spectrum Recordings, part of the Splinter Music Group (Deadmau5, Pryda, Christian Smith, Adam Beyer, among others,) he has the support of great Dj's such as Sasha, Carl Cox, Dubfire, Stephan Bodzin, Steve Angello, Christian Smith, DJ Karotte (Cocoon Club), Mauro Piccoto, among others. The vibrant personality so apparent in his tracks, come from a rich background surrounded by music from young age. André started to study music when he was seven years old, and was composing his first music at nine. At first, the guitar was his main instrument and means of expression. However he was diverted when shortly after launching his first album with the band Shine, he heard a drum and bass mix from DJ Patife. The mix, full of jazz and instruments, brought him to the electronic music scene. From then on, under his Bungle moniker, he has produced and launched music of the highest level with many of the top drum and bass labels in the market today. In early 2005, his technique and musicality made way for an explosive partnership with the legendary DJ Marky, Besides many tracks of their own, they remixed the beautiful Open Your Eyes, for the band Snow Patrol, Back Like That from Ghostface Killah, as well as many others. They also launched their own music, such as the renowned single No Time To Love, which reached the sixth place on BBC Radio Dance parade and is now one of the ringtones of the newest Samsung mobile phone, the D900 - considered then the thinnest device in the world. 2007 was an intense year. Bungle launched his first artist album, Down to Earth, with the British label CIA, and started his international DJ career. During 4 European and 1 Japanese tours, he performed in 16 countries and over 30 cities, including large clubs such as The End and Fabric, in London, and Womb, in Tokyo. In Brazil, he performed at important clubs such as Love and The Clash and in festivals such as Skol Beats and Spirit Of London. 2008 started well with his new single included in various top ten charts around the globe: 2nd place at beatport, 4th place at D'n'B arena, 7th place at BBC Radio and 8th place at the Chemical and Redeyes stores. He is now competing for the category of best producer by the Brazilian version of the British DJ Mag magazine. This year also saw some important partnerships; he performed works with NGO's such as Bottletop and Greenpeace, with releases alongside important producers such as Trentemöller and Nu-Tone, and was invited to integrate into the Interligados Sound System, a live PA formed by the most renowned producers in Brazil: Gui Boratto, Dudu Marote, Xrs, Nego Moçambique, Jamanta Crew, Dj Zegon, Nuts and Dadda Attack. Lastly, 2009 is the year to check the new sounds of this producer that, at just 26, has already conquered many ears around the globe.
