listen to this and then go listen to among the living... exactly, no goddamn difference. they copied anthrax and it's blatantly fucking obvious. annihilator is so shitty. and then listen to Alice in he'll and don't even fucking look at me and say that doesn't sound exactly like Master of puppets. you're a fucking liar and an ignorant fool if you say it doesn't.

This guy is on something. I have never thought that Alison in Hell sounded like Master of Puppets.

Looks like Jeff is tired of singing and Stu will feature on many live performances... Unfortunately Ballistic Sadistic could be the last album from the band. Jeff is re-releasing almost all catalog on earMusic records and Alice in Hell in get Stu featuring the re-record. I'm into Annihilator since 10 years ago and will miss them :/

Is Jeff really the type of thrasher that gravitates towards more varied and melodic heavy music?

Aaaand it's true. He's re-recorded the Metal album with them, to be released as "Metal II".

At least we'll get a better vocal this time Metal was the weakest effort of the band for me

The mix and drums were very flat and dull. Never was a huge fan of Dave Padden's vocals either. I think the new mix and instrumentation will work wonders with it.

Criteria for a Black Widow is my favorite... got exposed to it as a kid (literally...) was in my father's collection... "Bloodbath", "Punctured", the title track... Loving the Sinner & 2 instrumentals (Schizos are Never Alone: Pt. III + "Mending")

Double Dare is also good, I always liked that poppy interlude in the second half.

Hearing very promising things about "Ballistic, Sadistic." I will have to pick it up! Jeff is one of my favorite guitarists ever!

Ballistic, Sadistic is peak Annihilator, a very well blend of their earlier stuff and new sound, I’m completely in love, just waiting for my CD to arrive from Amazon put it on my car nonstop lml

For The Demented was a diverse album with interesting ideas, songwriting-wise. Ballistic, Sadistic is super bland, though. Maximal fan service.

Новый альбом доставил) Да, ничего нового, но всё самое фирменное за что мы собственно и любим этих ребят) Шизоидный вокал Джеффа тоже как всегда радует)

Annihilator hasn't made a good album since 1990 (although there are good songs on every single album, of course - even on All For You!). I feel like Ballistic, Sadistic might actually be their first album since 1990 that is actually good, instead of being mediocre/bad with a couple highlights.

Ballistic, Sadistic is an interesting album. I definitely loved it. But I can't tell if it was on purpose or not,but there's a lot of riffs on this album that are a homage to their early stuff. Dressed Up For Evil I heard Word Salad in the verses and in the breakdown I wanted to sing the breakdown from Brain Dance. The End O The Lie got me thinking a little bit of Phantasmagoria and in the solo there's a riff from The Fun Palace solo section. And the most obvious homage is got to be Lip Service,it's basically just a longer version of Knight Jumps Queen xD There's probably more I'm forgetting, but this is not in anyway a bad thing. It was fun to hear those parts. Great album overall. Once again Annihilator has done an amazing job!

I've almost finished a marathon of their full discography. I write reviews about them in Dutch on a Dutch discussion site and I rly liked their work. They've never returned as strong as they were in the beginning but Waters stays a very good guitarist with a full passion for HIS band 'Annihilator'. I saw them live in Zwolle, Netherlands about two months ago and he still kicks ass. But, however I liked the marathon, after 16 albums I'm a little bit tired of their sound, I think this band gonna get a pause from me for a short time.

Unpopular opinion time: This band fell apart after Never, Neverland. What a wreck they became.

I wouldn't say "wreck," but certainly the speedier thrash albums were the best. Criteria for a Black Widow is up there with the first two.

Jeff Waters is the most virtuoso thrash metal guitarist ever. Imperiled eyes proves it.

Jeff Waters is greatest thrash metal musician for me. Awesome riffs, songwriting, sick fast solos, great metal ballads, good vocalist, and also very cool and charismatic guy.

Some of the greatest guitar shredding and riffing ever heard! Jeff is like the Van Halen of thrash. But with many different (and mostly mediocre) singers and drum machines, a lot of the stuff just doesn't reach its true potential imo. I love Annihilator, don't get me wrong, but I wish Jeff would've had better budgets and luck in his career. It's always been well deserved.

Totally agree ! I think Jeff had to write all albums with his own vocals, as he did on "Set The World On Fire".

I only got into these guys about a year ago, but I now understand why at least half of the battle jackets I see at metal shows feature an Annihilator patch.

Jeff Waters in 2018 makes music for Annihilator fans, and that's all I could ever ask of him.

:( Alice In Hell has one of my favourite vocal performance of any metal album. I wish he'd never left the band.
