I FUCKING LOVE BE YOUR OWN PET. I met Jemina and John when I was 16, like when meeting bands seemed crazy cool and it blew my mind. I miss them more than any band who have split up.

Hope you're good :) Let you know when I have my tickets! Speak to you soon! -XXX-

folk? icelandic?!? downloading as I type! I'd recommend something back but I've been on such a huge emo/screamo (the old/underground/GOOD kinds) kick these past couple of days that I can't think of anything that I think you might like. Maaaaan. Maybe go check out Her Space Holiday? indie/electronic thing (think postal service, but more self loathing) listen to the album 'The Young Machines'. Or 'XOXO, Panda and the New Kid Revival' which is... completely different. Much more upbeat, less electronic, more fun. On a less emo note, go check out The Fifteenth - acoustic-y indie-pop. SO DAMN GOOD.

Been such a weird week and a bit :S I swear that 90% of the people that I know happen to have Birthdays now! My friend Mandy had a gothic/burlesque themed Birthday the other night! Was so much fun- they played like literally everything that I loved when I was back at school, and shamefully I still remembered all the words ;) Plus, I got to wear an outfit that nobody would never leave the house sober in on any other occassion :O Oh and I went on a Brighton weekender and came across about a thousand drunk people on stag nights...who bought me and my friend 8 shots of absinthe :O And saw Toro Y Moi there in a tiny venue the size of a shoe cupboard :D Oooh in other news- I have resurrected the old msn! So you no longer have to basically write a book in order to answer all my questions ;P You must promise not to laugh at the cringey user name though, it is very much a case of "this is my nickname at 13, look how cool and edgy I am". Then 10 years on you think, eurgh WHY?!? -XXX-

Maaate how was the Holiday??? I bet that you had an epically amazingly brilliant time? :D See lots of stuff? Its a week 'till I go to New York and I have sorted nothing, I am such an unorganised waster :S I will no doubt throw everything in the case and sit on it an hour before we have to leave for the airport! Plus, my ipod has broken :O Worst possible timing! If it isn't repaired before I have a billion hour flight to endure then I may actually die! I am still jealous that you get to take care of ATR! Woah, I would love to meet Alec Empire! Yeeeah, you def need to view the wolf again! :D I'm a bit gutted that he's playing when I'm away... :( Oh and I spoke to my friend in a band that I told you about and they're dead keen to play any gigs that you want them to do! :) They even said that next time they play round here you can get guestlist so that you can see what they're like. Plus they gave me a load of contact things to pass onto you, so I'll message you them in a bit

of songs with him, both Alec Empire's and his own, and I literally screamed the place down! My friend said that I was an embarrassment ;) I see from facebook that you're packing so I'm guessing that you're holiday is pretty soon now??? If you don't check Last.fm before you zoom off- have a lovely time and let me know all about it when you get back! -XXX-

think that that is the biggest one that you can get :S And I know that its sad, but I don't want to remove all the cringey things that I used to listen too back in the school/college days as they are good for unexpected drunken amusement! Eeeee, I felt the need to share that my calender on here is looking a lot more exciting now! It was a bit sad and empty, but I went a bit wild on seetickets! SO much is coming out at the moment! OH- and I'm seeing lots of ATR scrobbles from you! Yay! Finally somebody else who likes them! So you're coming to the gig at our Uni????? :D I couldn't believe it when I saw that they were playing there! Such a random place for them to play- I can't imagine crazy german techno being massively popular with our fellow Southampton students, but wow it will be brilliant! I love a bit of Alec Empire- I saw him live last year, and Patrick Wolf made a surprise guest appearance and performed a load

Hey yooou! Argh, firstly- I kept trying to post this last night but your shoutbox kept eating my shout! :O I kept pressing post, and it would look like it was going to post and then vanish into thin air!!! Fingers crossed it won't do that again today :S So hows yooou anyway? Sorry, I have switched between facebook and here mid conversation! but oh well! Did you have a good weekend? My friend from London has been staying with me for a few days, so we've had a few little adventures and a mooch round Camden market- during which it was SO hot that we probably spent all of about 30 Mins shopping and the rest of the day in random Camden pubs which we discovered sold Absinthe!:D I have Summer flu now though :/ Bleurgh, I can't even speak which is quite tragic for me :( But I am using the time constructively by...lounging in bed downloading numerous things =] I am quite proud to say that I have nearly filled my 160GB ipod, but at the same time vaguely concerned as I

5ft tall... Great! Let I'll send you my phone number on Facebook or by message on here so keep an eye out! Czech Holiday sounds amazing! I'm meant to be going to New York this Summer- and theres a little Mini Festival thing going on at the time, never been to a gig abroad so should be a pretty cool experience...oh, and I'm hoping to go to Venice too! I thought that I should probably try and travel a bit this Summer as I'll only end up lounging about like a vegatable otherwise! ;) Plus next year I'll probably have a work placement so I reckon that I may as well make the most of the freedom! Anyway, alot of the gigs for Autumn should be being announced soon! So I'll let you know if I spy anything else that looks good on Seetickets! I love having a nice full gig calendar! :D Give me a text if you're around tomorrow, and if not I look forward to meeting you at Kele!!! =] -XXX-

Hey! yeah I'm definately up for coming with you! :D Should be really good- and I love the Wedge! Oh wow I'm sure that my friends would love to play- they're always up for any gigs! One of the bands is called Get The Tape, and another is called Oresteia :D Theres alot of decent bands round here- Montage Populaire are also worth checking out!!! :) Its weird to think too that band of skulls are from round here and are now getting pretty big, but not all that long ago played a friend of mine's Birthday and all worked behind the bar of Lennons for years! I'll tell my friends that you're looking to book some bands and put them in touch with you! Ahaha, that shows how long ago it was that I was told to go on a night out in Reading then eh? ;p Maybe they said "where Fez used to be" and me being me, I got confused! Yeeah Mono is pretty minature! Although you should see Scandals- its so small that even I can almost touch the ceiling and I'm a *grand total of*

Tuesday that is meant to be good, and I've got quite a few friends in bands from round Southampton that play there quite often so should be good! haha, I'll have to show you some of the little hidden gems around town that most people don't get to know of until they've been living round here for ages... Haha- I think that however many times you go to Unit you never quite know whats going on or where you are going ;) I think thats the beauty of nights out there! Anyway, speak to you later and see you next weekend if not before! :) -XxX-

Oooh I can see Yan Tiersen in your most listened too- so I thought that I'd let you know that it said on seetickets the other day that he's anounced a tour coming up if you haven't already seen. Tickets aren't on sale yet, but the Wedgewood Rooms is one of the Dates on there, beginning of Novemeber I think :) I swear that gig tickets are where 95% of my money goes...and the remaining 5% is...drinks at gigs! :S Ah so are there not that many decent places in Reading in Comparison to SOuthampton? I thought that Purple Turtle and that Fez club were meant to be a good night out? Eurgh, about two minutes in the Sun today and I already am glowing a frigtening red colour :/ So when you see me at Kele next weekend don't think that I always resemble an overgrown beetroot! ;P Shame you're not around SOuthampton in the week (actually, maybe you are?), me and a couple of friends are meant to be going to that Mono bar on Tuesday as apparently they've started a new night every

Heyyy, ah thats well cute- how old is your little bro? Haha- don't worry, they used to be one of my fav bands too when I was back at school, them and System of a down ;) I think that I may even have had the Hoody :S My best friend had a baby just recently, and we're like "right he is going to grow up liking good music", Haha no Godson of mine will be a chav! ;P Mind you, he has the added advantage of having met several people in bands before he was even born! So I don't know quite what is the youngest age that you can take a kid to a gig without it being considered cruel but I'm sure that as soon as he hits that age he will be getting dragged to the Joiners! I know what you mean about money :/ I badly need a Summer job, I wouldn't even mind as I'm so bored with no Uni and loads of people having gone home...theres a possible job at a cosmetic surgery clinic that they've said that they'd get back to me about which could be interesting but thats about all thats come up!

many bands that clash who I reeeally couldn't choose between! The situations bad enough at Reading for Clashes! Yeah, will be great to shake it at Unit with you! Mmmm will be nice to have a nice Unit aguabomb! Its been too long since I last had one :/ Don't know if you've tried one of those but they're yummy...although I am not entirely sure whats in them! Concerningly I have a bit of a thing for Absinthe too which Im sure that you will realise soon!!! I'll be more than Happy to help you! Theres loads of options later on in Law that are really relevant to us Biomeds like Health law and law of the human body. Ohhh dear, my Mother just said "was that that band Mowgli that you were listening too earlier? I can only assume that she meant "Mogwai" ;) She's normally pretty up on her music, but I guess I can allow her the odd slip and put it down to "getting old" Haha!

Haiii :) Yeah I saw them at Reading last year too! I know what you mean- I was a bit unsure of the 3rd album on CD, but they bring alot of their songs to life live! It was at Bournemouth last Halloween- such a random night! Got separated from my friends in the crowd, and there was no phone reception in the Venue, so wandering about by myself I kind of befriended somebody that I bumped into who recognised me from a Patrick Wolf gig months before in London, and now we're really good gig mates :D Eee Reading is going to be amaaazing! I was intending on trying a different festival this year, but my friend was like "I have a ticket for you. You're definately coming" So, I wasn't going to argue with that! ;) Loads of people that I know are at Glasto at the moment- well jealous, but looking at the line up, I think that I'd want to split myself into not 2 pieces, but more like about 5 as there are so

Oh, and I LOVE Unit! Usually they close the SU after a gig, so was going to hit Unit after the gig that night- so I'll have to come find you in the Union Bar!!! I see that you're been to the Wedgewood Rooms too? I don't know if you've heard if it, but one of my favourite clubs is right near there. Its called Scandals and I love it thereso much! Its a tiny little run down hole in the ground, but it has character ;) Imagine like a Jesters that plays non stop amazing Music! My ideal week night out wise is Scandals Thursday, Lennons Friday, and Unit Saturday! Anyway, this is turning into an essay so byeee for now! -XxX-

harder than Law in my Opinion. Theres tonnes to remember in terms of cases, but you can waffle your way through alot more! I managed a 2:1 this year overall so was pretty pleased with that :D ah thats how you found me- thats great, I'm always looking for new gig buddies :) Kele should be sooo good! Its been a bit quiet in the gig front lately because of the festival season, which is ironic as I have no work to do now whatsoever...so will be good to make up for it! He always put on a Brilliant show! I saw Bloc Party's last ever gig before their extended break on Halloween last year and loved it...everybody was dressed up, and the atmosphere was incredible...the band got all emotional. They did 3 encores in the end! Everybody was leaving and then they suddenly came back on and started playing she's hearing voices! Love the Solo stuff too though, especially how when you turn Tenderoni up to full Volume it makes you feel like you're on some Kind of fairground Ride! :D

Oh wow, thats crazy- clearly we both have excellent taste in both music AND Degree choices! :O By the end, I was like, I love sciences but I don't think that I can face a lifetime of Frog hearts and Guinea Pig Intestines!!! Where do you have lectures now? I used to have all mine up at sexy old Boldrewood, but they shut all the lecture theatres up there didn't they? I used to get proper freaked out by that Building, but I was still sad to hear that its being pulled down! (and I do really miss Biomed at times!) I used to frighten the life out of myself staying late at night when I had Library projects to do as there was always tonnes of stories going round about it being haunted! I assume that all the Practicals are still the same? ;) Mind you, I loved the Neuroscience ones in Year 2! I got to be the Test Subject in the one where they attach all the electrodes to your Head!!! I'm sure that you'll love Law too! Despite what loads of people would have you believe, Biomed is MUCH

bands ;P And they live at all the frightening "shiny" clubs like Bliss and Oceana :S And I've had quite limited success at dragging them to the Joiners and such! Anyway, nice to meet you so to speak! :) (Eeek this has spilt over into 2 shouts! Yes, I do talk alot ;)) -XxX-

Heyyy! Wow your Musical taste is brilliant too :D And you're going to Kele at Southampton Uni/Reading Festi as well I see!!! You have some great stuff on your Calendar- I'm jealous! I had a quick nose at your Facebook link as I saw that you'd been living in Southampton- and I'm properly surprised that I haven't come across you already! We're both at the same Uni and have quite a few friends in common :O and you do Biomed? I did Biomed!!! Unfortunately I came to find out that although I was fine with alot of theory based stuff I was infinitely more Shit in the Lab than I had anticipated :S So when I graduated from that, I went straight back to do Law... hoping to do something like Medical Malpractise at the end of it, or something to do with medical patents (sorry! I'm sounding like a Geek now...) So where do you tend to go out in Southampton? Its so rare to find somebody at our Uni into decent music! All my friends on Law look at me like I'm an Alien when I talk about my Favourite

Ha, nice! Hopefully you'll come across some Amusement Parks if you haven't already then, Angeles is a great album, huge sound. I've just found an Eluvium track I remember hearing when I saw Explosions years ago, never knew what it was so I'm chuffed. I expect I'll chat to you on fb sometime, last.fm is a touch cumbersome for conversation.
