This is the soundtrack of dreams. First, a normal night dream, until you start hearing your alarm clock on it, and finally wake up. Then, it's a daydream. When awake, it's monotnous, but when the dream starts, you start dreaming about robots and gnomes and stuff like that. That's how I interprete this song at least.

A great voyage: first, we listen to some delicate bass guitar melodies, reminding us of their first album and the early 90s post-rock; after this intro, the track delves into a Neu!-style krautrock and it is driven by a pulsating motorik beat for about 4 delightful minutes and after that it slows down to make the transition to my favorite part; a ringing electronic sound gives us a brief rest for what we're about to experience in the next 4 minutes: a hypnotic minimalist piece influenced by the likes of Steve Reich and Terry Riley that transports us to a whole new dimension (ok, I really like this part and the key changes throughout it and the marimbas and the keyboard melodies); after trying to fool us to believe our sound system is failing the track passes to a noise-infused beat and transforms itself into a glitch track (Oval, anyone?) followed by an absurdly pretty melody played by those instruments they used at the minimalist section; the ending is pure chill-out: we need to rest.

When I first got the CD years ago, and started playing it, I actually did jump up at 14:00 in this piece, fearful that it was broken. The sound really sounds like a CD cracking
