Obviously, this is only for the English one. They're truly The Chocolate Watch Band. The American one has Watch Band as one word (Watchband), but you're not incorrect if you refer to the American one as The Chocolate Watch Band since it's a variation. The one from the UK only recorded two singles in 1967 and the American one recorded two singles in 1967. Then the American one recorded full-length albums, the UK one did not. It's safe to say that the American one is the more relevant one and I don't mind that they're considered The Chocolate Watch Band on Last.fm.

LAST.FM The Chocolate Watchband is not the same as The Chocolate Watch Band; do you see the difference?? Discogs: The Chocolate Watchband Profile: 1960's American garage-rock band. Formed in San Jose, California in 1965, their use of distorted-psychedelic-style guitar made them one of the heavier bands of the period. - not to be confused with British band The Chocolate Watch Band

Are You Gonna Be There (At The Love-In)...not a flowery invitation by Dave Aguilar but a snarling rage against conformity and mediocrity...great tune/great band

As strange as it may sound I think from 65-70 they never thought that something like lastfm would exist and that the correct spelling of their name would be such a big problem. And if they still don't give a crap about it, why should we? Let's just enjoy their stuff.

Re: spelling. The band didn't have much say in how their records were assembled and labelled, so I wouldn't necessarily trust the LP covers. But the band's own website has their name as 'The Chocolate Watchband' (http://www.thechocolatewatchband.com). If one honestly cares, one can vote for alternative spellings at the end of the side bar to the right of this page.

Nope, guys. Just look at the LP-Covers. It started as "Chocolate Watch Band", and added the suffix "The" in '69. One could argue about the "The" now, just as "The Pink Floyd" is being called simply "Pink Floyd" since the 70's... but Watch and Band can and ought to be separate.
