Kid Rock has some really bad music, especially past his prime in the early 2000s but his early work was fairly good and hilarious at times. His song Wax the Booty is probably one of the most vulgar and funniest songs I’ve ever heard.

"Your compatibility with Lord_Kur is Very High. You both listen to Emperor, Motörhead and Venom." Not bad, not bad... :D Pretty sure that compatibility would be even higher with my old account :/

Great to see another Dylan/Dead/Cooper diehard! I see your comments on a lot of Dylan track pages.

Just because one "should", doesn't mean that they "do". Great music is timeless, but many today don't appreciate great songwriting; for instance, my brother only listens to music from 90s-today because he doesn't care for the production of "older" music, he prefers the treble-heavy, soulless, faceless production that is popular in modern rock music. Which is very unfortunate, because he's missing out.

Many younger people also identify more with modern-day artists' lyrics, which have a very self-centered bent and a real "F the world!" attitude, which I don't particularly care for. It seems a lot of the "older" artists were more conscious about the worldview and social issues when they were writing their lyrics. Younger artists tend to just see things from their point-of-view, and in their view, they're never at fault for anything. That's why I love the honesty in Bob Dylan and Alice Cooper's lyrics. They were not afraid to point out their own character flaws and weaknesses. That requires humility, something that most younger artists don't have, since they're constantly being told how great they are from their worshiping fans.

Ive heard the new Krallice I haven't ever understood why people talk shit about them because the musicianship is top notch, I didn't know Kladovest had a new one but I will be looking for that one. I have really been listening to a lot of Crustpunk but have no scrobbles because my LastFM has been real fucked up. I have revisited all the old Conqueror stuff, Blasphemy, Beherit, Sarcofago, Black Witchery etc.

yeah your right- Ford was into all kinds of side dark ambient/electronica projects and he put that element into Black Funeral in the later albums. Some of his stuff is real ritual sounding because the dude was heavy into the black arts- more ritual sounding than any of the so called orthodox black metal bands. He tried that Valefor shit up here in the clubs in Indy and people wrote it off as Industrial similar to electric hellfire club. Off the subject- Did you ever hear Sinmara from Iceland? I missed it first round and just started catching up to their 2014 release?

i haven't gotten into the E. stuff but I honestly haven't listened very much. Oaks of Bethel has been blowing me away though. Very heavy and heady stuff.
