Matthew David Morris (born January 6, 2003), better known as MattyB or MattyBRaps, is an American singer and rapper who launched his career by creating remixes of popular music and posting them to YouTube. He is currently signed to Opium, the record label belonging to Playboi Carti.
Morris has released numerous covers and remixes of mainstream music since he began his career in 2010. His first cover was of "Eenie Meenie" by Justin Bieber, which gained the attention of Jordan Carter, a famous rapper known as Playboi Carti, who later signed Morris to his label Opium. Morris was originally listed as a feature on Playboi Carti's 2020 Album "Whole Lotta Red", but due to unknown issues, he was later removed from the album. On August 1, 2014, MattyB's YouTube channel surpassed one billion views. As of July 13, 2015, he has posted over 90 additional covers and 20 original songs on his YouTube channel.
Rapper Keandrian Qynzel Jones, known as KANKAN, discovered Morris' 2018 hit song "808s and Motivation" featuring singer Ava Davis. He requested Morris for a collaboration, to which he declined.
Morris has had multiple altercations with numerous artists such as Lil Durk, and Pooh Shiesty.
