Hey, odd question, but do you still have the Shroomunion s/t? The links are dead for everywhere they seem to be posted including you old blog Made in Secret that linked me here. Thanks. :)

whoa! I was just thinking about those the other day after not listing to them in like a hundred years. short answer is yes, but they're buried on an external drive I will not have access to for a few weeks. I can still get them to you but it may take some time!

It is! Grey Ice Water is one of my favourite song in general. Whole album is very good though.

erm I'd give Modest Mouses' 'Building Nothing out of Something' a try, great album. You might like built to Spill, and Guided by Voices' 'Bee Thousand' if my favourite album, recorded on a battered four tape machine but provided a major turning point in alternative rock, some great melodys. Just something magical about it.

true. when i first started really paying attention to music, like lps, rather than just downloading singles, i was into hip-hop and was a bit of an audiophile as well (as long as it was over 192, at the very least), but when I started getting into screamo, a lot of the files you find, especially demos, can be ripped at 320 or FLAC all they want, they'll still sound muddy, and I grew to appreciate that muddiness. yeah, you know, that's the one thing that annoys me to no end, especially if i've downloaded off of a blog. you should have your tunes tagged properly! at the very least, Song Name/Artist/Album should be listed.

i preferred to visit random peoples profile's and type in google 'band name mediafire' for either whatever they were currently listening to or their favourites and download the first link or links if they were small, and then click another random friend and so on. discovered so many different bands from different areas of the world, which was cool. i remember listening to unwound last year thinking this is awesome! but then forgetting to listen to them more. i only have repetition, though, so that would be appreciated.

ah, true. didn't notice you aren't into much screamo. kidcrash is awesome, but they aren't your typical screamo band. it's all about instrumentation with them, if you haven't listened to them before, check out Jokes. you have any recommendations? i need some new tunes to listen to.
