I'm glad I joined this server. I wasn't sure what to expect but as soon as I got a feel for the place I knew I was right at home. Lots of friendly people with more than just surface level knowledge of the genre, which is something rare to find on this site, and fairly active as well! Can't recommend it enough.

Ghost is probably one of the most bingeable bands I can think of. I can put their discography on shuffle and next thing I know, I’ve listened to 500 songs and still not gotten bored, hard to say that for a lot of music acts.

I listened to a lot of metal and punk/hardcore for years and concluded in the end that classic heavy metal is the most diverse and interesting metal sub-genre. Don't underestimate the classics and do not rush to explore 'extreme metal' or experimental stuff too much. Classic metal isn't boring 'metal by default'.

They're a Nu Metal band, And yeah, around 2005 we used to call it No Metal and overall ridicule the genre. But by 2021, it is kinda too late to complain there's a branch of metal mixed with alternative. They exist, and they're nothinng new, just a part of a larger thing. I'd keep "heavy" tag for classic metal, though.
