I was listening to Return to the Eve and it spawned within mean the following question: a 1984 song, allright. Could it be the first presence in extreme metal of, you know, the "eerie female voiced-speaking" aesthetic that later marked much of the 90's Doom, Death/Doom, and Gothic metal inspired by the likes of Into the Pandemonium?

Not metal but listen to early Amebix records. Explains alot know they were huge with the crowd that would later come up with black/death metal stuff.

Yea but all the records came out in 82-87 i believe except for the last one. No female vocals but some of the eeriest punk out there.

early Amebix 1982-1984 was post-punk in the vein of Killing Joke and UK Decay, and there were other similar examples of early goth/post-punk/deathrock with tribal drums and all the stuff like that. I would say Amebix raised the stakes compared to these two bands, however. As of "eerie female voiced-speaking" aesthetic, it seems CF started this indeed. A bit later some early crust punk adapted this feature as well (due to the CF influence, of course), Hellbastard, for example.

Whatever happened to Celtic Frost? Is it true that they got lost? In the pandemonium Never to be seen again

"Celtic Frosted Flakes" LOL! I wonder what Tom G. Warrior thinks of that S.O.D. song title and the song itself.

Monotheist has to be their best album of all time, even though I only listened to it once. It's one of those albums where you wished you would listen to it again for the first time.

I once stood in a saloon, captivated by the enigmatic performance of Celtic Frost on stage that night, their haunting melodies resonating through my soul, one song stood out in particular. It was a dark and brooding composition, the opening chords casting an eerie spell over the crowd. The band's guitars wailed with a melancholic intensity, intertwining with the thunderous beats of the drums. The lead singer's voice pierced through the air, carrying a raw and otherworldly quality that seemed to echo the desolate landscapes of the lands.
