We are imperfect and flawed creatures doomed to wage wars and deceive each other... but sometimes we do some good for once and make something as beautiful as this album. When we go extinct I hope this album is the legacy we leave behind for the aliens to find as evidence of us ever existing in the world.

Not sure if this is my favourite Yes album - that'd probably be Tales - but this is unquestionably their most perfect.

May not be my favorite album ever, but credit where it's due: this is pretty much perfection in music.

Absolutely, or atleast reverse the B-side order. "Siberian Khatru" is a great song but it always felt weird as an album closer. Atleast Relayer doesn't end with "Sound Chaser"

Never thought of it like that but my god, it makes so much sense I feel foolish for not thinking of it myself.

Well, first time listening to this. I am extremely pleased! Only knew Fragile before, now I'm going to dive into more. Either Tales from Topographic Oceans or Yes Album is next. I think I'll go for something shorter for now and then dive into the behemoth that is TFTO.

Good call. I would say The Yes Album would be a great next album. Don't sleep on Relayer and Going for the One either. TFTO is a masterpiece but it's dense and takes a commitment from the listener to really appreciate. Happy listening!

I don't understand how mere human beings were able to compose this stuff. You don't hear something like this anywhere else.

I have about a dozen versions of this album and I've finally come to the conclusion that the Audio Fidelity SACD by Steve Hoffman is the best of the bunch.

One of the best albums of all time. I still lean toward Fragile as my personal favorite (although it really depends on the day) but this is absolutely mind-meltingly brilliant. The title track is in my view Yes's finest hour in terms of single original pieces. Bewildering, stupefying, stunning, etc. There aren't enough adjectives to describe adequately how amazing the song is.
