i'm so mad i discovered this album late. it's fantastic. i wish i didn't read the pitchfork review (i haven't read pitchfork in years) because once they compared her voice to st. vincent that's all i can hear. the way she delivers certain lines makes me thing of beyonce too. but above all, it's just these really interesting, almost jazz-like vocalizations that have me hooked. a song like "right?" just plasters a grin all over my face.

Saw her open for Deerhoof and she put on a fantastic show. Great energy and you could tell how much she felt the music. Bought her cd and it's great but I would definitely recommend seeing her live if ever the chance arises.
