Biography

From one extreme to another This Years Finest pushes pop music to its limit. Sticking to the upbeat ride of pop punk and dropping heavy doses of hardcore into the mix this band is sure to hit your sweet spot for pop hardcore music.

This Years Finest started the game in November of 2009 taking the early months of their endeavor and dedicating them to recording their first ep. But before the release of the ep the band needed some shows under their belt and with that This Years Finest jumped on every show and hit every venue that would have them. Between recording, shows became a biweekly trip from one location to the next throughout the state of Kentucky. On May 22 of 2010 the band released their ep "S#%*s Gonna Get Ugly" a six song representation of what they were bringing to the table. Along with a hidden track as a declaration that they were in it for the long haul.

The mechanism that makes up This Years Finest is vocalist Chad Buehner, guitarists Clint Lafavers and Cory Holt, Tyler Rollins playing bass, and Justin Muse the drummer. The quintet is homegrown in Kentucky coming together specifically for This Years Finest. But since the start in November of 2009 they have grown to be very close friends. Each member of TYF brings unending support to its structure. Chad is proficient in Adobe Photoshop and graphic design and Clint holds two degrees in music business and audio engineering. Not to mention every member has the dedication to see it to the end.

Understand that This Years Finest is no run of the mill pop hardcore band. They push for more, they fight to get better, and they believe that what they bring will entertain millions.
