They ran out of ways to try making their music sound unique and new and it just started to sound like a commercialized rehashing of previous releases, which is why their top two tracks were released 13-14 years ago despite the semi-steady output since then. People like our pal Vincent up there think their new releases are "fantastic" because they really like the sound, and that's fine, but anyone looking for something "new but in the style of The Black Keys" probably isn't going to be blown away.

I can respect that. I enjoyed their Blakroc album so it didn't come off as too cringe to me personally. That being said I only listened to the new album fully once or twice when it came out.
