Biography

October, 2001. Kristen Bailey began teaching herself to play the guitar so she could write songs. The song writing went okay, but the lyrics were more along the lines of fifth-grade love letters than the deep, soulful, world-shattering, heartbreakingly beautiful ones she had imagined. So she turned to her dream journals, inserting her dreams, verbatim, into her songs where the lyrics should be. She recorded a few of these songs on a 4-track and performed them live every now and then with Lori Allison and Meghan Bailey under the cryptic name "Dream Songs."

Fall, 2002. Tery Daly came across the original Dream Songs recording while playing in another band with Kristen. When that band suddenly broke up, Tery and then-bass player Eric Aspengren and then-drummer Sean Moon turned Dream Songs into a band, and named it Suzy Dreamer & Her Nightmares.

The next year, 2003. Sean and Eric left Suzy Dreamer to pursue their own awesome bands. The crack team of Jeff Gustafson and Amos Joseph took over the rhythm section.

Halloween, 2004. Lone Prairie Records debuted Suzy Dreamer & Her Nightmares' first full-length record, "Rare Rock and Gems." In December of 2004, Suzy Dreamer & Her Nightmares put the project to bed due to excruciating academic pressures.

June, 2007. Tery Daly announced that he had in his possession some finished recordings of songs that didn't make it onto the first album. "Let's release it," Kristen said.

August 4, 2007. Suzy Dreamer & Her Nightmares will unite for the first time in three years to release their second album, unnamed at this time.

The future? It has yet to be determined.
