The way there’s no comparison at all between these two (except for their being both twinks) 😭

Yes, atleast he should have 1.3M to 15M listeners on Spotify, an average of 10K+ daily scrobbles 😌

Came here to say this. He’s one of the most underrated artists out rn, SMHOFI is literally a perfect album and deserves way more recognition

Idk if these would be his absolute favorites, but he did an "11 favorite things" list last year and said that he loves perfumes by Bruno Fazzolari. He recommended the perfume called "Fzotic Feu Secret Eau de Parfum" specifically.

Seeing an artist live is a testimony of their artistry and usually is able to involve even deeper with their music. But seeing Perfume Genius live in Berlin this month almost ruined the experience of listening to their recorded albums, because they're so overwhelmingly good live that the recordings now almost feel like shadows of their live version.

He's without a doubt one of the most important queer musicians out there right now, and probably of all time. Also very understated how he speaks to the disabled and chronically ill experience, he also talks about the body in a way that's just super relatable as a trans person sometimes. Mike just owns my gay ass in every way imaginable to be honest.

While I think that "most important queer musician of all time" is a risky exaggeration, he sure already is in a very special position. Anyway, have you checked out Orville Peck? Awesome.

Admittedly perhaps hyperbole, but to me he is incredibly special for the reasons stated. His combined perspectives of queerness and disability really push him forward. And yes. I love Orville.

The title track is gorgeous. The whole album is a wonderfully cinematic experience.
