According to an interview with Jason Bentley of KCRW in September 2012, Stringy Acid was originally written in 1989-1990 during the production of Orbital's debut album, but found it's way out of the final cut. After several other attempts to include it on previous albums, Stringy Acid found it's way onto 'Wonky.' The class TR-909 percussion and TB-303 sequences of this track gives away it's early authenticity.
