"Under The Surface" is the second single by Norwegian pop music singer Marit Larsen released from her debut album Under the Surface, the single was released in May 2006 in Norway. After debuting at #19 the single peaked at #6 and spent 16 weeks inside the Norwegian Top 20.
The song reached #1 on the Norwegian Airplay and helped the album to come back to the charts.
The song talk about a girl who, even being happy with a man, is always thinking about his past and is afraid to find out that someday he will want it to come back and be his present. A really touching piece of art, with amazing lyrics (something hard to find nowadays), Some selfishness, some fear, some insecurity, accompanied by a beautiful string/piano melody.
