Nashville native Mac Gayden got many gigs as a studio musician appearing on albums by Bob Dylan and J.J. Cale (among others). He created the famous "slide-wah" guitar technique, playing slide guitar through a wah-wah pedal - made famous by J.J. Cale's "Crazy Mama." During the late 60's, he wrote and performed with Area Code 615, a group of the same studio musicians who recorded on Bob Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde" LP.
