The description of this music is more interesting than the music itself. It's specialty music so a little group of people might say they love it. There is little attention paid to melody or even lyrics, there is a weak sense of composition. This musics comes off as flowing randomness, texture over intellect. It's OK as a display of electronic sound manipulation but it's not so interesting musically speaking in a traditional sense. I don't know, I see the merit but I don't find this appealing.

Nice opener for Julia Holter the other day. She stopped playing abruptly and spent several minutes walking around on stage, looking for the source of the music she was hearing. Turned out her amplifier was picking up London Grammar who were playing next door.
