Cape Town-born Louise Carver is a classically-trained pianist and vocalist. She has been writing songs on the piano since 11yrs old. She was signed to Silver Tulip Music at the age of 15, and her first single, "It Don’t Matter", became a huge success on the domestic charts in 1996/97. She was just 17 at the time. The debut album "Mirrors and Windows" was released the following year, with another two singles lifted from it.
