one of the most underrated back catalogs ever. under the iron sea has some of the most unique production and songwriting out there, strangeland is just beautiful, and cause and effect slaps. hopefully one day their entire discography will get the attention it deserves. if you're a somewhere only we know listener please do yourself a favor and listen to under the iron sea

It seemed to me that Keane's big hits were in the past, but they were pleasantly surprised with Dirt. A magical song, a masterpiece with the scope of the old school of the 1980s. It's like they found a version of Freddie Mercury on the theme of Don't Dream Is Over.

that's actually a great way to describe it. keane really has that specific feeling. ykwim? like happy and sad at the same time, maybe like everyday film music? i really loved bedshaped and souvereign light cafe, but i still dont know all of their songs sadly
