Biography

Jane Tyrrell is an Australian singer-songwriter, originally from Newcastle, New South Wales but now residing in Melbourne. Tyrrell first came to attention when she joined Sydney-based hip-hop collective The Herd in 2007 as a permanent member after featuring as a guest on the band's album The Sun Never Sets in 2005. Outside of The Herd, she has been a frequent collaborator with fellow Herd member Urthboy, with whom she often tours and appears on his solo albums. In 2013, it was announced that Tyrrell would be releasing her debut solo album. The album features collaborations with Count Bounce, Laurence Pike (PVT), Dustin McLean and J. Walker (Machine Translations). The album, Echoes in the Aviary, was released on October 17, 2014 via Elefant Traks.
