As beautiful and poignant as this album is... How can Grandaddy's - "The Sophtware Slump" be "miles ahead of the Flaming Lips" when "The Soft Bulletin" cam out 2 years before this record? I know taste is relative but in my opinion both albums are very close in proximity when it comes to shear beauty, emotional magnitude, and occupying a place in the heARTs of thousands if not millions of music lovers who actually know their stuff. Both albums and groups are top of the line in my independently thinking mind.

Agree with ahillebr below, Grandaddy miles ahead of the Flaming Lip, Mercury Rev or Radiohead.

This track doesn't sound so much like 'Lips too me, tho the guy's voice is a bit Wayne Coine-ish, but in a stilted and affected (and annoying) way. I'm just sayin'.

Beautiful. THIS is why I like Grandaddy, right here. This and 'Charts and Graphs'.
