Biography
Gnoss is a Scottish four-piece folk band based in Glasgow that was formed by Orkney duo of fiddler/mandolinist Graham Rorie and singer-guitarist Aidan Moodie, along with Connor Sinclair (flute/whistles) and Craig Baxter (bodhran/stomp), all former students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Forming a duo in 2015, Rorie and Moodie released an eponymous album as Gnoss that same year. The duo was awarded a prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections and reached the semi-finals of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2016.
Since expanding to a four-piece, Gnoss earned a nomination for Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2017. The four-piece band released their debut album, "Drawn From Deep Water", in 2019.
The band's follow-up album, "The Light Of The Moon", was released in 2021.
