It's been years since someone on Reddit claimed Alex had promised a remaster (c. 2016). Well, where is it? I'd take the infamous DR10 version but it's not available anywhere other than on vinyl. I like this album a lot but I feel like I've barely listened to it because the mastering is way too fatiguing on me ears.

Celestriad
When The Flesh Prevails first came out, I remember thinking "no one else sounds like this." This album was such a breath of fresh air for tech death, which I don't think Fallujah gets enough credit for. Those luminous, celestial guitar leads instantly set them apart from the usual neoclassical shredding, and the astral synths really elevate the atmosphere without overpowering the rest of the band. I rate this as a 9.5 out of ten - the only nit-pick I have is that Alex's vocals are just "there". They are competent, but pale in comparison to how wildly creative every other element is.

IMO one of the best tech death albums in the last 5 years. Atmospheric tech death

This is honestly really close to 9/10 for me, almost there. The best tracks are Levitation, Sapphire and Chemical Cave in my opinion. Simply marvelous.

I highly recommend the vinyl in this case...separate mastering = more dynamics = more atmosphere/heaviness. The vinyl rip I have has a slightly audible crackle during the quiet parts, but for the added dynamics, it's easily ignored. Excellent album with that version!

It was on what.cd, but it got shut down. I can always put it in a Drive document and link it to people in private messages, by request. Got it in a mp3 rip, but it still sounds better than the CD would

Mixing doesn't suck IMO, fuck me, right? I think this album is already a classic. Only bad thing I can think of is the shortness of the album. I wouldn't mind having some bonus tracks.

good record, good compositions, good blend with atmospheres buuuuut... so much compression it kills the dynamics and everything sounds plain.. i'm with @crazytribe and @jekku666 with the opinions.. note: awesome cover too

Still a cool album, but after repeated listens, I'm liking the mastering less and less. There's little to no dynamics in most of the songs. The leads cover everything and the drums, bass and rhythm guitar occupy pretty much the same sonic range. Just horrible. Not to mention some of the mixining errs as well. However, I still find this to be musically very enjoyable. Maybe not as good as I originally thought, but a really solid album none the less, with no fillers and few exceptional tracks (Sapphire, Alone with You)

Didn't live up to the hype I had for this, still a good album. But the master is fucking horrible (judging from the mp3s, don't know if it's any better on CD or Vinyl, although I doubt it), clipping gets me mad. Zach Ohren, you also mastered Nomadic which was quite nice (although Nomadic also had a dB of like 3 or so, so Fallujah records aren't the most dynamic) and listenable, so what did that guy smoke during production of this album ?
