I'm a 23 yr old American, who's completely about this band. They only had two albums released between 1969 and 1973 here in the U.S., and I'm guessing part of it is cause good old uncle Edgar had communist beliefs. Fast forward to now and the internet is in full-swing, and I still feel like this band is overlooked, even when anyone could access most of their discography! It's not like everything they did was brilliant, but wow are they more consistent than music history portrays! Especially live!!! BBC Live in Concert Feb. 25th 1971 just cooks. 'Demons at the Beeb' too!! From their first album 'Wasa Wasa' to 'Bandages', these guys had something to say! WAY OVERLOOKED!!!!!

The two albums that precede it both have awesome moments, too, though. Those three are all well worth it.

Mix the irreverence of Mothers of Invention and the dada humor of The Bonzo Dog Band with the psychedelia of 60's! We are "Os Freakadélicos" a brazillian band formed by teenagers with 15 and 17 years old! Listen our music on myspace! www.myspace.com/freakadelicos

Their early albums are a revelation. I love Edgar's vocal style, it often sounds like a cross between Beefheart, Nick Cave and Morrisson.

I have loved the Edgar Broughton Band's music, ever since I first heard 'Wasa Wasa' as a teenager. I've tried to hear everthing they have recorded. My favourite of their albums is 'Oora' a much too little known and much too undercelebrated masterpiece.
