I put off getting into them for a while bc of the creepy stuff, but honestly knowing that stuff makes the lyrics more interesting and complex. Maybe Jesse's apology post wasn't up to many peoples' standards but I feel like it's really clear through many of the songs that he did feel bad about what he did/was doing. Lotta people will say you shouldn't provide support at all but imo he's someone who was open about his issues, maybe to a degree that maybe isn't as transparent as people would like but I don't see him as pure evil and rather as someone who was/is deeply troubled, and hurt people, and made art out of that

BN is one of those bands that I love but hoped would never reunite, feels very weird that it actually happened and i'm very conflicted about the whole thing, the new songs from the JL set are great though I must admit and I'd 100% listen to a new album

All the little things in between songs do fit. I believe they really help tie this album together which is something devil and god could've used. Once you get past Bangkok it feels very loose. The thing is I just don't like it when albums end with a long bunch of random fading sounds. The only reason Batter Up is their longest song is because they padded out the runtime with all that. I don't care really that it fades into ambience. It's just the amount of time it spends on that ambience.

You are kinda right about TDAGARIM feeling a little loose after Bangkok.. still my favorite album of all time tho. Wrt Batter Up, I think it’d feel awkward had it just abruptly ended. The ambience is beautiful and reminds me of The Cure. I could live in it. You should watch it played live if you haven’t, they add a lot of good embellishments
