JOHN DIGWEED:

Some DJ careers are built on hype. John Digweed’s career is built on substance. One of the planet’s most popular DJs, his sets never fall out of favour with clubbers the world over, as his relentless global gig schedule testifies. From ethereal, swirling cinematic soundscapes to energy-infused bass-bothering tech growlers, a new generation of clubbers are learning what we already know – that there’s nothing quite like being locked into a John Digweed set.

But John Digweed is much more than a DJ. Bedrock – his record label, promotions company and production partnership with Nick Muir – is a mothership of creative ingenuity and integrity that other labels orbit around. His vision for the Bedrock record label has been realized over 14 years, as he continuously seeks out mixes and remixes from the world’s best producers. Techno mainstays like Marco Bailey, Pig & Dan sit comfortably alongside hot new talent like Guy J in the Bedrock camp.

In a dance scene increasingly inhabited by inflated egos and gimmicks, John’s approach remains all drive, no drama, a heads-down crack-on attitude that has won him the respect of his peers. However, the fact remains that John Digweed has notched up a mighty list of groundbreaking achievements since he first became involved in the embryonic acid house scene as a 15-year-old lad in Hastings. From Top 40 smashes ‘Heaven Scent’ and ‘For What You Dream Of’ (with Nick Muir) to world renowned mix CDs for Renaissance, GU and Northern Exposure, it’s little surprise he was voted No.1 DJ in the World by DJmag readers in 2001.

Twelve years on, the excitement John Digweed generates is even more palpable today. His Transitions radio show is one of the world’s most successful dance music shows, broadcast across 50+ countries to a staggering weekly audience of over 14 million. But the real beauty in John Digweed’s story lies in his unflinching belief in the music he plays. And with new music comes new chapters in an already astonishing career.

GREG EVERSOUL:

Greg started his DJ career in 1992 at Denver’s Fab Afterhours parties alongside DJ Hipp-e, who is a major influence on his sound to this day. It did not take long before Greg was playing at raves and club events across the US. His dynamic techy house sets landed him sets along side Ritchie Hawtin, Louie Vega, Sasha, The Chemical Brothers, and many others. Rocking dance floors from Seoul to Montreal, Riga to Miami, and from New York to Paris, Greg finally planted down in San Francisco where he held residencies at 1015 Folsom, Ruby Skye and The End Up.

In 2010 Greg returned to Denver to join forces with long time friend and fellow DJ/Producer Hipp-e as part of the ROOTS collective. Their collaboration has lead to the release of tracks like ‘To Be Free’ on Tenampa and ‘Truth In Depth’ on 5 and Dime, with more releases scheduled in 2013 on Hipp-e and Halo’s newly formed label Surface. As a producer, Greg has quickly become known for his unique sounds in the studio and as a DJ, he continues to deliver amazing sets to the masses.

RODD SIM:

DJ Rodd Sim has been a part of the electronic music industry for over 20 years now. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA and has lived in a variety of places over the years. Now a label boss of Auricle Recordings - Proton Label Group his career is launching into the future of house and tech. He has played with a variety of major acts such as Digweed, Fortier, Damian Lazarus, Miguel Campbell to name a few. His fusion style of deep house, tech house and techno with a slight sprinkling of progressive fills not only the ears but the soul. His label is already home to amazing music with tracks already signed by Chris Fortier, Pete Bones, JUST2, Stephen J. Kroos and Luke Mandala for a start.

Washington, DC based Sarah Myers is widely recognized as both a DJ and Event Promoter in the underground dance music scene.
