BT Search For Talent Gigs

BT Digital Music Awards has launched a search for the best new talent in the UK, to play live in London or Manchester this summer!

If you're an unsigned band, wannabe solo artist or up and coming DJ, you just need to fill in the form at http://www.btdma.com/ and upload a track of your music.

BT are working with the social music network Last.fm to find the best unsigned talent in the UK. You can take part by uploading your track to Last.fm and entering the contest at the BT DMA website.

If you're a fan of one of the contestant, go ahead and show them your love by scrobbling them! The top twenty most ‘scrobbled’ artists will automatically go through to the next round of the competition, where they could win the chance to perform live in either London or Manchester.

All entries will then be judged by a panel including Georgina Wilson-Powell, the editor of urban mag Blowback and Andrew Dickens, Male Lifestyle magazine journalist.

Artists performing in London, on the 10th August will also be on the same bill a former Sugababe Mutya Buena who'll be singing tracks from her new album Real Girl.

You can enter for one of the following two venues (gigs will be taking place between 12pm and 8pm each day in both cities):

* Spitalfields in London on either 10th or 12th August (closing date 1st August at 12pm)

* The Great Northern in Manchester on either 7th or 8th September (closing date 24th August at 12pm)

Winning bands will also get a pair of tickets to the BT DMAs on 2nd October 2007 and the chance to hang out with all the latest names in digital music.

All gigs are open to the public, so if you're not a performer come along and listen to new artists for free!
