A lovely piece in memory of the days in Paris. The composer loved to spend the afternoons in a café from time to time, reading a book, composing some airs, observing people passing by the window, or even just sitting in a trance. The first measures were thus written down in Paris like the other fragments, without any further development afterwards. The author completed them several months later because of a dream in which he returned to France. Oh, the scent of café!
