The musical mecca of the Midwest. A rock-n-roll icon. A place where U2’s first note was birthed and John Lee Hooker’s last; a steppingstone for celebrated bands from The Pretenders to Blink 182 and from Chuck Berry to Springsteen.

Located right across form Ohio State University, the Newport Music Hall exudes the energy and diverse culture of this metropolitan campus. Though the venue is old and looks-it, the Newport is an original rock club and an incredible experience almost every night.

Parking is close enough at the Ohio Union. Though it’s right by the campus, food options are nothing great, but plenty. There are enough places nearby to check out if you get there a bit early. You can always make an evening of it.
