Aha, yes I saw you were looking! So thought I'd do the same with you! I am real friends with Martin(Humbert and Trixiedelite-Rebecca)- know of Simon too, well I know his ex anyway(think she's his ex)! So you don't live in Brighton? Just coincidence we have friends in common? Well, Martin and I did actually meet on Last Fm through our music taste, but turns out we have real friends in common socially! Funny. Re No Age- yeah, I can't explain it that well...but I love their energy and they do have a kind of edgy rawness to them. I find them quite hypnotic, quite trancey sometimes, and definitely punky. They can sound shocking vocally sometimes and a bit shouty, but I'd say give them a go and try and listen a bit again. Saw them live in Brighton at Audio- musically they rocked, but the vocals there were dreadful. Anyway, nice to meet you- have seen you around on here before so lets be friends? H:)

aw, i liked johnny foreigner a lot. though i was late and only caught their last two songs. what was the notable exception from your favorites!? such a cliffhanger. i think indie crowds are more or less the same everywhere. certain bands will draw the same type of fan, no matter where they're from.

I'm all over the shop lately - TV on the Radio worked for a while but faded quite quickly for me. Have been listening to lots of dark 'n' moody minimalish techno, by people like DJ Koze, and Holden. I always seem to come back to that sort of music in the end. Had a Blip flirtation with Border Community, the label that Nathan Fake, Extrawelt, and I think, Fairmont are all on, all of whom I like. Also listening to Doves quite a bit cos I'm going to see them in April (fancy it?) kinda Elbow-like if you don't know them. The new Miss Kittin & The Hacker album's pretty good too I think. In other words: no hearty recommendations but lots of half-hearted ones. Let me know if you find the holy grail. x

I seriously have no idea why corduroy feature so heavily - i do have 2 of their cds but i never listen to them. The only thing i can think of is that it was left on repeat overnight or something - but 2000!? Very odd (and slightly embarassing!).

Seems our tasteometers are a bit out of wack -although I'm a big fan of radiohead, beck, boards of canada, smiths/morrisey, aphex twin, Nick Cave, Feist and although i haven't got their album i think hot chip are pretty cool too. So some overlap but as my ipod's been out of action and i don't listen to that much on computer the scrobbling might not be too accurate for me.

Haha, my ears KILLED yesterday, and still aren't recovered. Radiohead were almost silent in comparison to MBV...but they were still bloody good. Good taste, by the way! x
