That's pretty damn sad. Still, hopefully the new singer can bring something good to the mix!

They played Truth, Juular, Supercrush, ZTO, By Your Command and Deadhead last time too. My favourite from Decon is easily The Mighty Masturbator. No 16 minute song has ever felt that short to me before. It's magic.

It' was always my least favourite from Deconstruction as it felt like it never went anywhere. Heck, if it was halved, I'd be able to pay more attention to it. But it's not a bad song, and sounded good live for what I heard. I had to leave halfway through it for a smoke. But pretty much every other song was perfect. I dare say it was a heavier set as a whole compared to their last show, and any of the other ones I saw, in fact. The only light song they played was "Where We Belong".

I knew they would be! I thought Liberation and War in particular were incredible. Great to hear Deadhead again, and Planet of the Apes was very welcome too!

Yeah, I agree with you. The flashing makes it kind of mysterious and exciting and perhaps even 'avant-garde', but after a while it's like "Now I see you... Now I don't... Now I see you... Now I don't.... Now I.. OW." I've never seen any other video released by them, I wonder if this is their first.

Yeah, I see what you mean :). I really love the track 'Lucky Animals' xD. Which album would you say is his best then? :) Oooh cool! :) Did you go straight into that career ladder or did you study around it a bit first? :) I know quite a few people who study/work with IT and computers :) quite handy when I break my own computer hah.

Heyy sorry for late reply, Uni is so busy D;. Neuroscience itself isn't difficult - though the electrophysiology module is a right pain - as a lot of the modules are shared with the other Life Sciences/Biology courses. I have so much to do, but I enjoy it :). Oooh have those gigs occurred now? I've been to see Slash, Every Time I Die and Damnation Festival since this post :) and I have Alabama Shakes, Converge and Devin Townsend upcoming :) not to mention the local gigs here in Manchester :D. How are you doing? :)

Oooh :o :D. I adore 'Voodoo Mon Amour', perhaps because it is highly swing-influenced. I also quite like the ending to the album... the dub-step/electronic bit? It's bizarre but interesting-in-a-good way :). I've finally obtained the latest Unexpect album - not legally nor through choice, but I have no idea where to purchase it from. I've only listened to it once or twice, it deserves some more, but I think I prefer the 'Flesh Aquarium' album (so far). Yeah the Saturday of Download is rather lacking :P (and all the bands I wish to see Friday and Sunday clash...), thus it is "party" day :P for Jambles and I at least. Though I think he doesn't wish to see Metallica :S might as well, seeing as they're there, even though it's the Black album :P.

I reckon I'll try see them live xD it's almost necessary seeing as they're playing :). Hmm I'm not too fussed about Bloodstock's line-up this year, which is probably a good thing as I wouldn't be able to go. Wouldn't mind seeing Ihsahn, out of those, though. Yeah, Jim/Jambles/James linked me to the leak :D OHMIGOSH isn't it amazing?? :D I thought it sounded quite like their 2nd album though? The Devil's Carnival, I had not heard of it before, I shall definitely check it out :D. I would love to see Mumford & Sons live, at a festival rather than paying for a gig though, they look quite interesting :D. I shall check that out then thank you.

Ooh have you not :o. I've never been to a rock/metal festival, which is why I'd like to go this year. I actually have money to :o this is amazing. Yeah, I chose Download to be my first rock/metal festival which I find kind of odd as this was the festival I wanted to go to when I was13/14 years older :P before I got into heavier music. I agree with what you say regarding the line-up, the Saturday looks a bit bland. Metallica would be good to see live, but not the Black album in its entirity :| Ride The Lightening maybe. I much prefer the Hellfest line-up, it looks AMAZING, but I know more people going to Download including Jim, Kells and Danzi from the Scuzz forums! :D That new DSO song is BEAUTIFUL I think :D what are you making of it? I can't wait for the album. Devil's Carnival, what is that? :) Do you have any music to recommend? :D I also see you've been listening to Mumford & Sons xD.

:P true that. What (sub)genres have you been listening to recently? I've finally been getting into Dream Theater - they're a lot more ballad-y than I expected :S. Ooh I can't wait for DSO :D though I thought the release date is in May? I haven't listened to Eluveitie in a while, I'm so behind with the times :/. I still need to purchase Unexpect's latest album. By the way, if you have Facebook there's been a FB group created for communication between the good ol' Scuzz regulars, if you're interested? :)

Ah fair :) which console? I've only recently obtained a decent gaming PC (or just a decent PC). Oooh I'm jello :o is she good live? Lol, "amusing"? :P It's brilliant! Though personally the 'Angry Birds' theme is my favourite, so much clarinet <3 (I think). But yeah I listened to the album 'Greatest Video Game Themes' a lot over the Christmas period, it's amazing :).

Steam - it's like a video game communication and purchasing platform-thing :P for PC/Mac games. I have a few people from Scuzz added, just wondered if you have it too :P. Oh gosh I just discovered Imelda May the other week, on a replay of Jools Holland's 2011 Hootenanny :o I have such a woman-crush (opposed to men having man-crushes) on her right now; she's amazing! ^_^ Glad you approve! :D

I did :D it was BRILLIANT. And yes I did get to see Shining xD they clashed with Turisas but there was time still to see them before Turisas' set, and I'd never seen them before and they sound rather interesting :). And they were amazing live :O. Where they ever recommended by yourself or someone on the Music thread on these forums, or on the Scuzz website? I wish I checked them out earlier; a friend of mine I know through the music societies here, who also went to Damnation, suggested that I listened to them. Yay :) and yeah, I might listen to them more - I've heard a fair bit of their songs but probably not enough - and see if there's tickets left :). Ooh and I saw Yann Tiersen the other week :D.

Same tomorrow :) but it's Damnation Festival. I'm also like that but vice-versa thus with Turisas, as you may have guessed :P. Also purchased tickets to see Turisas on their headlining tour and for Bellowhead, and currently considering Every Time I Die. Have you seen the latter before?

Bowie has done lots of styles. I like his mid 70s era when he did soul and funk. I mean, Station to Station is a 10 minute track of David Bowie singing about his character the Thin White Duke, and his own cocaine problems. The song starts with fuckin train noises n shit. Its crazy.

yeah live Billys voice fails. But i can deal with it studio, especially on the first album where he is alot less whiney. Massive Attack - Mezzanine. Get that album, its the best. Its all dark and creepy. Love it. i notice in your tastes it lists Avant-Garde, yknow Bowie went into that area on his Berlin Trilogy, "Low" "Heroes" "lodger". You might dig.

i rediscovered my love for artists like David Bowie and Pink Floyd. Ive also gotten into more electronic stuff too like Primal Scream and more recently trip-hop from Massive Attack. Ive also gotten back into some so called "Grunge" bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots. Still think Nirvana suck dick though.

Sorry for the late reply, been extremely busy with work and uni :/. Thing is, Alex is full of promises, he says this will happen and so will this but it never does. To be honest, we knew it was really bad when azeryk resigned. I became a mod when Jim left but so far, I don't think I have had anything to do and there is no need to go on it as much now because after a week you will only get what used to be a days amount of posts. I really reccomend a band called Kraftwerk, you probably will have heard of them before actually, really popular in the 70s. Also nitzer ebb and front 242 and really good as well. The original EBM bands seem to be better x
